A clearer record for every product and batch. The Cannabis Product Label is an 010Genetics project exploring how product identity, origin and verified test information can be presented in a consistent, accessible format.
The aim is to help people understand what is known about a product, where each piece of information comes from, and what has not yet been measured. The label is a transparency concept under development; it is not a certification, a medical recommendation or proof of a product’s effects.
What a product page could show
- Product and cultivar identity, with a unique product ID.
- Batch ID, origin and breeder or producer information where confirmed.
- Relevant production and handling details where records are available.
- Cannabinoid and terpene results only when supported by a traceable laboratory report, including the laboratory and test date.
- A certificate of analysis (COA) only when an authentic report exists and can be linked to the correct batch.
- A clear indication when a field is not available or has not been tested.
Designed for stable QR links
The planned QR code would point to a stable product or batch page on this website. A batch record should retain its identity over time; updates should be dated and traceable so that a printed QR code does not silently lead to unrelated or changing information. No QR code or batch record is being presented here as operational yet.
Public product pages are intended for product information only. Any future user-experience survey would be a separate project and would require its own privacy, consent, security and regulatory review before collecting any information. This page does not collect personal, patient or health data.
Current stage
The label format and digital information structure are in development. The next steps are to agree on a practical minimum data set, identify participating producers and independent laboratories, and test how batch information can be verified and maintained. No laboratory values, product claims or certification are implied until independently documented.
